Our Story

A city's heritage, served by candlelight

Aleppo is among the oldest culinary capitals on earth — a crossroads of spice routes, orchards and silk. At Alhalabi we carry that inheritance to the table: cherry kebab simmered until garnet-dark, kibbeh shaped by hand, muhammara glowing with Aleppo pepper.

Every plate is a small act of remembrance, prepared with the patience of a home kitchen and the precision of fine dining. The room is deliberately small — because hospitality, in Halab, has always been personal.

From the Kitchen

Signatures of Halab

A seasonal tasting of dishes that defined a city — reimagined for a single, considered evening.

I

Kabab Karaz

كباب الكرز

Hand-minced lamb in a dark sour-cherry reduction, over toasted Aleppine bread and pine nuts. The dish Aleppo is famous for.

II

Kibbeh Halabiyeh

كبة حلبية

A trio of kibbeh — fried, baked and raw — bulgur shells filled with spiced lamb, walnut and a whisper of cinnamon.

III

Muhammara & Mezze

محمرة ومازة

Roasted red pepper, walnut and pomegranate molasses, served amid a slow-built table of warm and cold Syrian mezze.
